SEOUL, Oct 4 (Reuters) - Five South Korean state-run utilities bought a total of 860,0000 tonnes of coal for shipment between November and December via tenders that closed last Friday, a source from one of the utilities said on Tuesday.
The utilities bought a combined 650,000 tonnes of high calorific coal and 210,000 tonnes of low calorific coal, said the source from the Korea East-West Power Co without giving details of supplier.
