Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Basic Metals, Electricity and Real Estate Investments sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 0.70% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were AK Enerji (IS:AKENR), which rose 7.29% or 0.070 points to trade at 1.030 at the close. Meanwhile, Kardemir Karabuk Demir Celik Sanayi ve Ticaret D (IS:KRDMD) added 5.26% or 0.070 points to end at 1.400 and Ihlas Holding (IS:IHLAS) was up 4.17% or 0.010 points to 0.240 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tupras (IS:TUPRS), which fell 2.27% or 1.75 points to trade at 75.20 at the close. Turk Traktor (IS:TTRAK) declined 2.24% or 1.70 points to end at 74.30 and Dogan Holding (IS:DOHOL) was down 1.82% or 0.010 points to 0.550.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 246 to 151 and 15 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was up 1.16% or 13.30 to $1157.60 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.53% or 0.26 to hit $49.69 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 0.71% or 0.38 to trade at $52.67 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.74% to 2.9150, while EUR/TRY rose 1.57% to 3.3135.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.55% at 94.88.
