Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Technology, Utilities and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 0.22%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB), which rose 1.81% or 0.105 points to trade at 5.900 at the close. Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) added 1.09% or 0.40 points to end at 36.96 and Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA) was up 1.00% or 0.33 points to 33.48 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA), which lost 1.51% or 0.076 points to trade at 4.954 in late trade. Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) declined 1.44% or 0.48 points to end at 32.87 and Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM) shed 0.88% or 0.13 points to 14.70.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 67 to 64 and 20 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for June delivery was down 0.67% or 0.36 to $53.17 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 0.59% or 0.30 to hit $50.30 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.25% or 3.15 to trade at $1254.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.02% to 1.0657, while EUR/GBP rose 0.61% to 0.8540.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.06% at 100.48.
