Investing.com – Italy equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Technology, Oil & Gas and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 fell 0.93%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Moncler SpA (MI:MONC), which rose 2.03% or 0.43 points to trade at 21.66 at the close. Salvatore Ferragamo (MI:SFER) added 1.77% or 0.44 points to end at 25.30 and Mediaset (MI:MS) was up 1.69% or 0.058 points to 3.500 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Leonardo SpA (MI:LDOF), which lost 3.32% or 0.520 points to trade at 15.150 in late trade. Tenaris (MI:TENR) declined 3.22% or 0.45 points to end at 13.53 and STMicroelectronics (MI:STM) shed 2.58% or 0.360 points to 13.620.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 222 to 130 and 19 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was down 2.63% or 1.17 to $43.26 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 2.32% or 1.09 to hit $45.82 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.08% or 1.05 to trade at $1245.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.21% to 1.1126, while EUR/GBP rose 0.72% to 0.8814.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.24% at 97.46.
