Investment Strategy

The investment seeks current income and capital preservation; long-term capital appreciation is the secondary consideration. Under normal circumstances, the fund will invest at least 80% of its net assets, plus the amount of any borrowings for investment purposes, in debt securities. These debt securities may include U.S. government securities, corporate debt securities, other mortgage-backed securities, asset-backed securities and securities issued by foreign governments, which may include sovereign debt.
