Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Food, Beverages & Tobacco, Energy and Technology Hardware & Equipment sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX lost 0.04%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY), which rose 2.55% or 1.23 points to trade at 49.53 at the close. Aker Solutions OL (OL:AKSOL) added 1.32% or 0.61 points to end at 44.12 and Schibsted ASA B (OL:SBSTB) was up 1.25% or 2.50 points to 202.50 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Marine Harvest ASA (OL:MHG), which lost 2.17% or 3.30 points to trade at 150.00 in late trade. Yara International ASA (OL:YAR) declined 2.09% or 7.5 points to end at 352.2 and Aker BP ASA (OL:AKERBP) shed 1.25% or 2.00 points to 158.50.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 99 to 86 and 18 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was up 2.24% or 1.18 to $53.93 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 2.41% or 1.33 to hit $56.41 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.95% or 11.35 to trade at $1186.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.11% to 8.9239, while USD/NOK rose 0.63% to 8.3636.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.71% at 100.62.
