Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Transport, Technology and Sports sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 0.46%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Ihlas Holding (IS:IHLAS), which rose 7.69% or 0.020 points to trade at 0.280 at the close. Odas Elektrik (IS:ODAS) added 4.40% or 0.370 points to end at 8.780 and Sise Cam (IS:SISE) was up 2.22% or 0.080 points to 3.690 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Tesco Kipa (IS:KIPA), which lost 19.68% or 0.370 points to trade at 1.510 in late trade. Tav Havalimanlari (IS:TAVHL) declined 4.08% or 0.57 points to end at 13.40 and Celebi (IS:CLEBI) shed 3.89% or 0.92 points to 22.72.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 307 to 50 and 51 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for August delivery was up 0.87% or 11.05 to $1286.95 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 0.61% or 0.30 to hit $48.77 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract fell 0.59% or 0.30 to trade at $50.24 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.41% to 2.9177, while EUR/TRY rose 0.12% to 3.2929.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.20% at 94.44.
