A chief financial officer (CFO) with more than two decades of financial leadership experience is poised to leverage his expertise at global fintech pioneer Way2VAT Ltd (ASX:W2V).
Evyatar Cohen will join the automated VAT claim and recovery solutions firm from today, taking over the reins from outgoing CFO Smadar Noy.
“On behalf of the board, I thank Smadar Noy for the significant contribution she has made to the business and wish her all the best in her future endeavours,” Way2VAT founder and CEO Amos Simantov told investors on Thursday.
High-profile expertise
Stepping up to lead Way2VAT’s financial division, Cohen boasts more than 20 years of experience as a CFO and financial consultant.
He has worked across private and publicly listed companies around the world, including those traded in the United States, Israel and Europe.
The new CFO also brings exposure to a suite of high-profile industries, including tech, biotech, oil and gas, media and entertainment and venture capital.
One of his career highlights was a multinational audit engagement at global professional services brand PwC — a role he oversaw in Tel Aviv and New York.
Cohen is a Certified Public Accountant in both the US and Israel and holds a Bachelor of Business Management and a Masters of Law from Bar Ilan University in Israel.
“We are pleased to have someone of Evyatar’s calibre join Way2VAT,” Simantov stated today.
“His substantial international financial services knowledge and expertise in managing strategic pivots will strengthen our ability to execute the next phase of growth as we leverage Way2VAT’s position as a global leader in automated VAT claim and return solutions.”
