Vango Mining Ltd (ASX:VAN) has intersected high-grade gold in the latest phase of drilling at the Triple-P and B Zone open pits within the Marymia Gold Project in the Mid-West of Western Australia.

Standout assays from below the Triple-P and B Zone open pits include:

  • 1-metre at 3.91 g/t gold from 44 metres;
  • 1-metre at 7.98 g/t from 73 metres; and
  • 3 metres at 6.36 g/t from 86 metres.
These intersections represent the continuation of the mineralised system from B Zone at Triple P, with B Zone interpreted as a continuation of Triple P mineralisation displaced by a fault.

Moving forward, Vango is planning further targeting and drilling to test the potential of this new zone or faulted continuation of the extensive Triple P and B Zone mineralisation.

Drill highlights

These high-grade gold results come from an initial program of seven, wide-spaced reverse circulation (RC) drill holes across 2,057 metres, which targeted areas of mineralisation below the Triple-P and B Zone open pits.

Notably, all seven holes intersected anomalous gold mineralisation with six of the holes returning significant intersections.

Triple-P and B Zone are interpreted to be the same zone of mineralisation, offset by a significant fault over a combined strike length of in excess of one kilometre.

Drill program

A 640-metre, four-hole RC program was also completed at the Apex prospect to follow up on low-grade gold mineralisation intersected in previous drilling.

Results showed further anomalous gold and low-grade supergene copper with a full analysis of the results to be undertaken in the coming period.

At Mareast, drilling was also completed at a target adjacent to the prospect on an area under cover to the northeast which hosts a zone of greenstone.

This drilling was designed to test bedrock for potential greenstones and anomalism with eight RC holes drilled across 807 metres.
