Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Materials, Energy and Transport sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.83%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC), which rose 3.84% or 7.4 points to trade at 200.1 at the close. Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) added 3.61% or 1.85 points to end at 53.05 and DNO International ASA (OL:DNO) was up 2.62% or 0.23 points to 9.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included P/f Bakkafrost (OL:BAKKA), which lost 2.52% or 8.70 points to trade at 337.00 in late trade. Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) declined 2.21% or 0.34 points to end at 15.04 and Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT) shed 1.17% or 0.80 points to 67.80.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 90 to 88 and 24 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was up 0.42% or 0.20 to $47.73 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.31% or 0.16 to hit $51.82 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.32% or 4.10 to trade at $1292.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.24% to 9.3087, while USD/NOK rose 0.19% to 7.9131.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.40% at 93.37.
