Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Technology, Healthcare and Consumer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 declined 0.57%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE), which rose 1.63% or 1.90 points to trade at 118.80 at the close. Meanwhile, Volvo, AB ser. B (ST:VOLVb) added 1.27% or 1.30 points to end at 103.50 and ABB Ltd (ST:ABB) was up 0.90% or 1.6 points to 180.3 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Modern Times Group MTG AB ser. B (ST:MTGBs), which fell 3.91% or 9.8 points to trade at 240.6 at the close. Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb) declined 1.85% or 4.7 points to end at 249.3 and AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN) was down 1.75% or 10.5 points to 588.0.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 261 to 174 and 5 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.94% or 0.42 to $44.24 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 1.08% or 0.54 to hit $48.98 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.33% or 3.60 to trade at $1093.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.58% to 9.6110, while USD/SEK rose 0.17% to 8.7642.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.22% at 97.66.
