Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Consumer Goods and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 1.05%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Kesko Oyj B (HE:KESBV), which rose 7.60% or 2.33 points to trade at 32.97 at the close. Meanwhile, KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV) added 2.43% or 0.89 points to end at 37.49 and Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) was up 2.04% or 0.67 points to 33.47 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Metso Oyj (HE:MEO1V), which fell 1.43% or 0.27 points to trade at 18.67 at the close. Konecranes Oyj (HE:KCR1V) declined 1.41% or 0.29 points to end at 20.29 and Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) was down 0.98% or 0.0240 points to 2.4320.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 117 to 63 and 5 ended unchanged.
Shares in Konecranes Oyj (HE:KCR1V) fell to 52-week lows; losing 1.41% or 0.29 to 20.29.
Brent oil for March delivery was down 3.80% or 1.21 to $30.67 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February fell 3.98% or 1.25 to hit $30.16 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.90% or 9.90 to trade at $1086.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.20% to 1.0837, while EUR/GBP rose 0.67% to 0.7516.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.26% at 99.17.
