Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic, Information Technology and Wood, Paper & Printing sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 1.47%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Migros Ticaret AS (IS:MGROS), which rose 7.31% or 1.90 points to trade at 27.90 at the close. Banvit Bandirma Vitaminli Yem Sanayi AS (IS:BANVT) added 6.48% or 1.640 points to end at 26.940 and Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAA) was up 4.12% or 0.240 points to 6.060 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Turkiye Petrol Rafinerileri AS (IS:TUPRS), which lost 9.64% or 13.50 points to trade at 126.50 in late trade. Otokar Otomotiv ve Savunma Sanayi AS (IS:OTKAR) declined 5.80% or 7.30 points to end at 118.60 and Afyon Cimento Sanayi TAS (IS:AFYON) shed 5.28% or 0.44 points to 7.90.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 269 to 91 and 44 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.00% or 0.06 to $1283.76 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.37% or 0.21 to hit $57.02 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 0.47% or 0.30 to trade at $63.79 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.04% to 3.8681, while EUR/TRY rose 0.35% to 4.5028.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.23% at 94.55.
