Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Banking, Real Estate Investments and Information Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 1.26% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Ihlas Holding AS (IS:IHLAS), which rose 5.00% or 0.030 points to trade at 0.630 at the close. Arcelik AS (IS:ARCLK) added 1.69% or 0.38 points to end at 22.92 and Fenerbahce Futbol AS (IS:FENER) was up 1.62% or 0.56 points to 35.10 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAA), which lost 3.71% or 0.270 points to trade at 7.000 in late trade. SASA Polyester Sanayi AS (IS:SASA) declined 3.36% or 0.240 points to end at 6.900 and Tekfen Holding AS (IS:TKFEN) shed 3.30% or 0.39 points to 11.44.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 288 to 82 and 32 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 1.38% or 18.22 to $1298.18 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.06% or 0.03 to hit $50.66 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 0.07% or 0.04 to trade at $56.33 a barrel.
USD/TRY was unchanged 0.00% to 3.5040, while EUR/TRY rose 0.43% to 4.1890.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.29% at 91.95.
