Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Non-Metal Mineral Products, Holdings & Investments and Banking sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 1.03%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Park Elektrik Uretim Madencilik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:PRKME), which rose 8.67% or 0.320 points to trade at 4.010 at the close. Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAA) added 5.19% or 0.360 points to end at 7.290 and Trabzonspor Sportif Yatirim ve Futbol Isletmeciligi Ticaret AS (IS:TSPOR) was up 3.60% or 0.100 points to 2.880 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Global Yatirim Holding AS (IS:GLYHO), which lost 5.11% or 0.190 points to trade at 3.530 in late trade. Tekfen Holding AS (IS:TKFEN) declined 5.00% or 0.64 points to end at 12.17 and Trakya Cam Sanayi AS (IS:TRKCM) shed 4.89% or 0.180 points to 3.500.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 266 to 100 and 40 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.84% or 11.14 to $1341.54 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 3.28% or 1.55 to hit $48.84 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 2.31% or 1.21 to trade at $53.55 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.02% to 3.4329, while EUR/TRY rose 0.12% to 4.0909.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.30% at 92.29.
