Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Sports, Leasing & Factoring and Wholesale & Retail Trade sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 0.32%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Ipek Dogal Enerji (IS:IPEKE), which rose 7.44% or 0.090 points to trade at 1.300 at the close. Yazicilar Holding (IS:YAZIC) added 6.05% or 0.82 points to end at 14.37 and Koza Madencilik (IS:KOZAA) was up 5.56% or 0.070 points to 1.330 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Besiktas Futbol Yat. (IS:BJKAS), which lost 8.62% or 0.56 points to trade at 5.94 in late trade. Gsd Holding (IS:GSDHO) declined 2.96% or 0.040 points to end at 1.310 and Alarko Gmyo (IS:ALGYO) shed 2.95% or 0.94 points to 30.90.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 187 to 151 and 73 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for June delivery was down 0.10% or 1.30 to $1256.70 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in May rose 3.32% or 1.34 to hit $41.70 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract rose 3.76% or 1.61 to trade at $44.44 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.20% to 2.8383, while EUR/TRY rose 0.05% to 3.2340.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.07% at 94.04.
