Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Real Estate Investments, Telecoms and Banking sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 0.66% to hit a new 52-week high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Koza Altin (IS:KOZAL), which rose 14.57% or 2.80 points to trade at 22.02 at the close. Gozde Girisim (IS:GOZDE) added 3.54% or 0.070 points to end at 2.050 and Koza Madencilik (IS:KOZAA) was up 3.32% or 0.070 points to 2.180 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ihlas Holding (IS:IHLAS), which lost 4.55% or 0.020 points to trade at 0.420 in late trade. Metro Holding (IS:METRO) declined 2.75% or 0.030 points to end at 1.060 and Borusan Mannesmann (IS:BRSAN) shed 2.19% or 0.22 points to 9.82.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 181 to 138 and 88 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.36% or 4.50 to $1235.00 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 0.86% or 0.45 to hit $52.79 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract rose 0.49% or 0.27 to trade at $55.39 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.85% to 3.6876, while EUR/TRY fell 1.09% to 3.9363.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.39% at 100.53.
