Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Wood, Paper & Printing, Transport and Non-Metal Mineral Products sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 2.07%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Afyon Cimento Sanayi TAS (IS:AFYON), which rose 19.89% or 1.49 points to trade at 8.98 at the close. Banvit Bandirma Vitaminli Yem Sanayi AS (IS:BANVT) added 6.81% or 1.160 points to end at 18.200 and Gozde Girisim Sermayesi Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:GOZDE) was up 4.82% or 0.170 points to 3.700 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ulker Biskuvi Sanayi AS (IS:ULKER), which lost 0.95% or 0.19 points to trade at 19.71 in late trade. DO & Co AG (IS:DOCO) declined 0.57% or 1.00 points to end at 174.30 and Turkiye Sinai Kalkinma Bankasi AS (IS:TSKB) 0.00% or 0.000 points to 1.380.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 350 to 36 and 18 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.66% or 8.47 to $1293.47 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 2.74% or 1.36 to hit $50.94 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 1.83% or 1.02 to trade at $56.81 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.56% to 3.6811, while EUR/TRY fell 0.07% to 4.3453.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.51% at 93.07.
