Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Technology, Non-Metal Mineral Products and Transport sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 1.13%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Trakya Cam Sanayi AS (IS:TRKCM), which rose 6.78% or 0.280 points to trade at 4.410 at the close. Koza Altin Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAL) added 6.28% or 2.64 points to end at 44.70 and Dogan Sirketler Grubu Holding AS (IS:DOHOL) was up 5.71% or 0.060 points to 1.110 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Turkiye Petrol Rafinerileri AS (IS:TUPRS), which lost 4.92% or 5.50 points to trade at 106.40 in late trade. ODAS Elektrik Uretim Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:ODAS) declined 1.76% or 0.090 points to end at 5.030 and Eregli Demir ve Celik Fabrikalari TAS (IS:EREGL) shed 1.58% or 0.190 points to 11.850.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 319 to 61 and 29 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.54% or 6.60 to $1226.70 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 1.23% or 0.85 to hit $68.11 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 0.65% or 0.48 to trade at $72.97 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.06% to 5.0706, while EUR/TRY rose 0.08% to 5.8839.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.20% at 94.81.
