Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Leasing & Factoring, Transport and Telecoms sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 1.11%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Ipek Dogal Enerji Kaynaklari Arastirma ve Uretim AS (IS:IPEKE), which rose 15.82% or 0.840 points to trade at 6.150 at the close. SASA Polyester Sanayi AS (IS:SASA) added 5.72% or 0.490 points to end at 9.050 and Kiler Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:KLGYO) was up 4.62% or 0.090 points to 2.040 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Aksa Enerji Uretim AS (IS:AKSEN), which lost 3.28% or 0.100 points to trade at 2.950 in late trade. Turkiye Sise ve Cam Fabrikalari AS (IS:SISE) declined 2.59% or 0.130 points to end at 4.890 and TAV Havalimanlari Holding (IS:TAVHL) shed 2.45% or 0.60 points to 23.92.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 208 to 144 and 54 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.53% or 6.50 to $1227.70 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 1.70% or 0.91 to hit $54.34 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 0.54% or 0.34 to trade at $62.87 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 1.25% to 5.3148, while EUR/TRY fell 1.04% to 6.0571.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.16% at 96.565.
