Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Transport, Telecoms and Banking sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 1.07%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Kardemir Karabuk Demir Celik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS Class D (IS:KRDMD), which rose 2.91% or 0.130 points to trade at 4.600 at the close. Ihlas Holding AS (IS:IHLAS) added 2.56% or 0.010 points to end at 0.400 and Turk Hava Yollari AO (IS:THYAO) was up 2.47% or 0.420 points to 17.420 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Erbosan Erciyas Boru Sanayi Ve Ticaret AS (IS:ERBOS), which lost 6.80% or 5.20 points to trade at 71.25 in late trade. ODAS Elektrik Uretim Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:ODAS) declined 3.43% or 0.160 points to end at 4.510 and Turk Traktor ve Ziraat Makineleri AS (IS:TTRAK) shed 2.17% or 1.06 points to 47.74.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 203 to 116 and 79 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.20% or 2.40 to $1220.10 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.33% or 0.23 to hit $69.24 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 0.49% or 0.36 to trade at $74.11 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 1.65% to 5.2422, while EUR/TRY fell 1.42% to 6.0731.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.16% at 95.04.
