Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Textile & Leather, Real Estate Investments and Information Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 0.57%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Logo Yazilim (IS:LOGO), which rose 6.74% or 3.200 points to trade at 50.700 at the close. Carrefoursa Carrefour Sabanci Ticaret Merkezi AS (IS:CRFSA) added 4.39% or 0.25 points to end at 5.95 and Eczacibasi Ilac (IS:ECILC) was up 4.18% or 0.150 points to 3.740 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Galatasaray Sportif (IS:GSRAY), which lost 2.87% or 0.86 points to trade at 29.14 in late trade. Netas Telekomunikasyon AS (IS:NETAS) declined 2.79% or 0.28 points to end at 9.75 and Tesco Kipa (IS:KIPA) shed 2.44% or 0.040 points to 1.600.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 236 to 93 and 75 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for December delivery was down 1.03% or 13.85 to $1330.25 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 3.59% or 1.65 to hit $44.28 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 3.57% or 1.71 to trade at $46.22 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.01% to 2.9808, while EUR/TRY fell 0.43% to 3.3409.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.29% at 95.49.
