Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Technology, Transport and Wood, Paper & Printing sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 0.43%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Ihlas Holding AS (IS:IHLAS), which rose 19.44% or 0.070 points to trade at 0.430 at the close. Celebi Hava Servisi AS (IS:CLEBI) added 13.64% or 4.38 points to end at 36.48 and Kiler Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:KLGYO) was up 7.50% or 0.150 points to 2.150 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Soda Sanayi AS (IS:SODA), which lost 6.34% or 0.410 points to trade at 6.060 in late trade. Trakya Cam Sanayi AS (IS:TRKCM) declined 3.57% or 0.150 points to end at 4.050 and Ulker Biskuvi Sanayi AS (IS:ULKER) shed 3.07% or 0.57 points to 18.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 267 to 94 and 46 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.47% or 6.00 to $1262.90 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 3.10% or 2.11 to hit $70.19 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 1.92% or 1.43 to trade at $75.98 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 1.39% to 4.6167, while EUR/TRY fell 1.66% to 5.3917.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.23% at 94.17.
