Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Technology, Banking and Transport sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 0.41%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Alarko Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:ALGYO), which rose 8.65% or 3.90 points to trade at 49.00 at the close. Turkiye Halk Bankasi (IS:HALKB) added 6.08% or 0.36 points to end at 6.28 and Aselsan Elektronik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:ASELS) was up 5.05% or 1.30 points to 27.02 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Soda Sanayi AS (IS:SODA), which lost 3.89% or 0.280 points to trade at 6.920 in late trade. Turkiye Sise ve Cam Fabrikalari AS (IS:SISE) declined 3.27% or 0.180 points to end at 5.320 and Anadolu Efes Biracilik ve Malt Sanayi AS (IS:AEFES) shed 3.26% or 0.66 points to 19.56.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 202 to 152 and 52 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.23% or 2.80 to $1204.40 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.08% or 0.06 to hit $74.39 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.19% or 0.16 to trade at $84.42 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.20% to 6.1509, while EUR/TRY fell 0.53% to 7.0755.
The US Dollar Index Futures was unchanged 0.00% at 95.43.
