Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Technology, Real Estate Investments and Sports sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 0.01%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Gubre Fabrikalari TAS (IS:GUBRF), which rose 8.83% or 0.25 points to trade at 3.08 at the close. Yazicilar Holding AS (IS:AGHOL) added 4.36% or 0.47 points to end at 11.26 and Aksa Enerji Uretim AS (IS:AKSEN) was up 4.07% or 0.110 points to 2.810 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Goltas Goller Bolgesi Cimento Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:GOLTS), which lost 4.79% or 0.69 points to trade at 13.73 in late trade. Alcatel Lucent Teletas Telekomunikasyon AS (IS:ALCTL) declined 3.31% or 0.200 points to end at 5.840 and Gozde Girisim Sermayesi Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:GOZDE) shed 2.90% or 0.080 points to 2.680.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 175 to 172 and 57 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.43% or 5.50 to $1262.40 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 0.61% or 0.28 to hit $46.16 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract fell 0.88% or 0.48 to trade at $53.87 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.88% to 5.3089, while EUR/TRY rose 0.55% to 6.0663.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.44% at 96.148.
