Torque Metals Ltd (ASX:TOR) has appointed Imants Kins as a non-executive director, effective immediately, reflecting the maturing of the company’s assets – in particular, its recent project acquisition reported by Proactive yesterday.

Past involvement with New Dawn
Imants Kins is a highly respected senior executive with more than 40 years of experience in resources and technology sectors as an active executive and non-executive director/chairman of ASX-listed companies, unlisted companies and not-for-profit organisations.
His non-executive directorships include Hancock Prospecting Group company Atlas Iron, Critical Infrastructure Technologies, at which he was chair, and at the not-for-profit organisations Australians for Northern Development and Economic Vision and the Aroga Network.
He was involved with Tantalum Australia in numerous roles from 2001 to 2006 as a consultant, managing director and executive chair at a time when TAA was holder of the New Dawn Lithium Project tenements and other tantalum and associated minerals tenements around Norseman.
Kins adds considerable value to Torque Metals with his specific experience as the company moves to advance the newly acquired New Dawn Lithium Project.
Imants holds a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Western Australia and Master of Arts in Futures Studies from the Curtin University of Technology.
