Tempus Resources Ltd (ASX:TMR, TSX-V:TMRR) has fielded assay results described as “extraordinary” from the Elizabeth Gold Project in southern British Columbia with shares soaring by as much as 70.38% intraday to A$0.092.

Results have been returned from five drill holes testing the No. 9 Vein, the Blue Vein and the West/Main Vein.

Of particular note were the No. 9 Vein intersections, which revealed bonanza-grade gold mineralisation over wide zones.

The drilling has extended strike continuity of the wide high-grade gold zone associated with the No. 9 Vein to around 150 metres, with open target areas to the south and southwest of the current drilling.

Highlights

Hole EZ-22-20 yielded multiple bonanza grade zones, such as 28.1 g/t gold over 28.5 metres from 84.40 metres, including:

  • 1.35 metres at 167.1 g/t gold from 94.65 metres;
  • 1.08 metres at 175.2 g/t from 97 metres;
  • 3.65 metres at 35.2 g/t from 104.35 metres; and
  • 6.75 metres at 4.2 g/t from 209.55 metres, including 1.31 metres at 35.6 g/t from 209.55 metres.

Hole EZ-22-22 contained multiple bonanza and high-grade gold zones in sheeted quartz:

  • 1.15 metres at 49.4 g/t gold from 80.85 metres; and
  • 1.42 metres at 4.8 g/t from 141 metres, including 0.72 metres at 9.5 g/t from 141.7 metres.

Assays for three No.9 Vein drill holes remain pending.

Blue Vein

Over at the Blue Vein. the intersections were similarly pleasing, extending the bonanza and the strike of the target to around 150 metres.

Results include 1-metre at 47.6 g/t gold from 142.95 metres, including 0.60 metres at 79.1 g/t from 143.35 metres.

One hole, EZ-22-17, contained “multiple bonanza, high-grade and significant zones” in sheeted quartz veins, including:

  • 1.07 metres at 0.44 g/t gold from 96.2 metres and 0.37 metres at 33.2 g/t from 149.88 metres, including 0.22 metres at 55.5 g/t from 149.88 metres;
  • 0.65 metres at 1.8 g/t from 156.9 metres;
  • 0.62 metres at 0.5 g/t from 160.8 metres; and
  • 0.25 metres at 4.4 g/t from 174 metres.

Assays for two Blue Vein drill holes remain pending.

West and Main Vein

One West/Main Vein drill hole provided further confirmation of the southern extension of the West and Main veins for about 220 metres beyond any previous drilling increasing the overall strike length of the West/Main Vein sets to around 400 metres.

Previously reported West/Main vein drill holes included assay grades of up to 9.9 g/t gold and vein widths up to 2.2 metres.

Assays for one West/Main Vein hole remain pending.

Tempus Resources president and CEO Jason Bahnsen said: “Today we released the assay results for five drill holes including No. 9 Vein drill-hole EZ-22-20, which was extraordinary, intersecting 28.1 g/t gold over 28.5 metres, certainly one of the best intersections I have seen during a +30-year career.

“Hole 20 sets a new record in terms of combined grade and thickness for our Elizabeth Project. The bonanza and high-grade zones of both the No.9 Vein and the Blue Vein have now been extended to over 150 metres each in strike.

“Structurally it is possible that the No. 9 and Blue Veins join together with the potential for additional gold mineralisation to cumulate in the area of the intersection and with further extensions along strike to the southwest.”
