Tempus Resources Ltd (ASX:TMR, TSX-V:TMRR) has discovered a new area of gold mineralisation at the Elizabeth Project in southern British Columbia, with the latest assays from the 2022 drill program returning high-grade gold hits up to 23.5 g/t.

Assays have been received from 11 drill holes assays including at the No. 9 Vein, the West/Main Vein and the Ella Zone.

“Today we released the assay results for 11 drill holes that continue to show high-grade mineralisation within the five individual vein sets we have under development,” Tempus Resources president and chief executive officer Jason Bahnsen said.

“In addition to high-grade results for the two No. 9 Vein holes, we have extended the Main/West Vein set strike length by approximately 220 metres, and have confirmed the discovery of a new mineralised vein set at the Ella Zone.

“We have eight more holes from the 2022 drilling program that are pending assays, including six additional holes from the No. 9 Vein.”

Multiple high-grade zones

Tempus completed 10 holes targeting the No. 9 Vein along strike of the historical works to the southwest.

Several of the No. 9 Vein drill holes intersected wide zones of quartz veining, including visible gold in three of the holes

Standout results from the No. 9 include:

  • EZ-22-25 - 11.5 g/t gold over 2.57 metres from 139.1 metres, including 23.5 g/t over 0.92 metres from 139.1 metres; and
  • EZ-22-21 - 2.5 g/t over 1.61 metres from 159.75 metres, including 7.8 g/t over 0.45 metres from 160.45 metres.
Assays for six holes are pending, including EZ-22-20 which had multiple instances of visible gold over 25 metres.

From the South West Vein, highlights include:

  • EZ-22-29 - 3.3 g/t gold over 1.32 metres from 213.38 metres; and
  • EZ-22-30 - 1.5 g/t over 0.17 metres from 124.62 metres and 2.6 g/t over 3.04 metres, including 6.7 g/t over 1.1 metres from 229.15 metres.
At the West Vein, assays from two drill holes showed that the vein structures containing gold mineralisation continue for about 220 metres south, extending the strike length of the West/Main Vein Sets to about 400 metres.

Notable results from here include:

  • EZ-22-31 - 1.5 g/t gold over 1.98 metres from 254.38 metres, including 2.1 g/t over 1.15 metres from 254.7 metres, and 0.6 g/t gold over 1.64 metres from 434.61 metres; and
  • EZ-22-33 - 1.8 g/t over 2.2 metres from 158.8 metres, including 2.6 g/t over 1.2 metres from 158.8 metres, and 4.3 g/t over 1.18 metres, including 9.9 g/t over 0.51 metres from 377.67 metres.
Assays for one drill -hole remain pending.

The three holes completed in the Ella Zone confirmed the discovery of a new vein set at Elizabeth, with some of the best results including:

  • EZ-22-38 - 0.8 g/t gold over 1.42 metres from 49.45 metres, including 1.4 g/t over 0.49 metres from 49.81 metres;
  • EZ-22-39 - 1.7 g/t over 1.41 metres from 109.19 metres, including 2.9 g/t over 0.66 metres from 109.19 metres; and
  • EZ-22-40 - 1.0 g/t over 0.98 metres from 138.84 metres.
