Tempest Minerals Ltd (ASX:TEM) has begun a suite of exploration fieldwork programs at the Five Wheel Project in Western Australia’s Warburton Mineral field, just 36 kilometres to the north of Rumble Resources' world-class Earaheedy Zinc Project.
With drilling already underway at the Remorse target, TEM is also launching geological mapping and sampling across the entire granted tenure, as well as a wide-spaced geochemistry program.
The exploration programs will be conducted in a collaborative effort with the region's Traditional Owners, with the goal of increasing cultural awareness and facilitating a strong positive relationship.

Key features of Five Wheels
Tempest’s initial interest in Five Wheels came mostly from its proximity to the Earaheedy Project, which holes a mineral resource estimate of 94 million tonnes at 2.1% zinc and lead, and 4.2 g/t silver.
Neighbouring mining company Strickland Metals also made a similar discovery in 2023, although that project does not yet have an official mineral resource.
Other key features of Five Wheels include:
- Important geological units associated with base metal mineralisation
- Legacy of high-grade soil results, up to 1130 parts per million (ppm) copper and 847 ppm zinc
- Strategic location 36 kilometres north of world-class deposit
- Heritage agreements signed and collaborative exploration
- A State government exploration incentive scheme grant has been awarded for a geophysical survey scheduled for early 2025.
Once the field campaign is complete, Tempest expects to receive the geochemical results in the last quarter of this year, followed by the geophys survey in 2025 alongside ongoing analysis and drill target generation.
