Technology Metals Australia Ltd (ASX:TMT), an advanced vanadium developer, has appointed Jo Gaines as a non-executive director of the company.
She brings extensive experience as a strategic policy director and leader in government, having served as the deputy chief of staff to the Premier of Western Australia.
Significant policy player
During her tenure, Gaines played a key role in significant policy development that shaped the economic and social landscape of Western Australia.
She was instrumental in intergovernmental negotiations and led the development of the WA Recovery Plan in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, collaborating with state government agencies and the private sector to stimulate the local economy.
Gaines possesses a wealth of expertise in stakeholder engagement, having worked closely with government entities and the private sector on various initiatives, including training and job creation, contracting and procurement, climate change, child protection and health.
Her qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Western Australia and a Post Graduate Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety from Curtin University, and she is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Currently, Gaines serves as chair of the Government Employees Superannuation Board (GESB), a director of Development WA, and a non-executive director of Chalice Mining Ltd (ASX:CHN, OTCQB:CGMLF).
