Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Healthcare and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 0.11%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb), which rose 2.58% or 6.4 points to trade at 254.5 at the close. Meanwhile, Modern Times Group MTG AB ser. B (ST:MTGBs) added 2.04% or 5.0 points to end at 249.6 and Securitas AB ser. B (ST:SECUb) was up 1.62% or 2.00 points to 125.70 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which fell 2.21% or 0.91 points to trade at 40.19 at the close. Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE) declined 1.28% or 1.60 points to end at 123.50 and Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA) was down 1.07% or 1.7 points to 157.0.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 267 to 171 and 6 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 2.97% or 1.40 to $45.72 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 3.97% or 2.08 to hit $50.13 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.39% or 4.30 to trade at $1090.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.01% to 9.4751, while USD/SEK rose 0.21% to 8.6429.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.18% at 97.50.
