Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Technology, Consumer Services and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 lost 0.99%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIBs), which rose 0.76% or 1.4 points to trade at 186.4 at the close. Kinnevik, Investment AB ser. B (ST:KINVBs) added 0.66% or 1.5 points to end at 227.6 and Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA) was up 0.55% or 1.5 points to 276.1 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Boliden AB (ST:BOL), which lost 5.02% or 7.00 points to trade at 132.50 in late trade. SKF, AB ser. B (ST:SKFb) declined 2.26% or 3.3 points to end at 142.6 and Nordea Bank AB (ST:NDA) shed 1.81% or 1.50 points to 81.55.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 304 to 237 and 41 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was up 0.61% or 0.25 to $41.39 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 0.49% or 0.20 to hit $41.40 a barrel, while the April Gold contract fell 0.74% or 9.30 to trade at $1245.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.20% to 9.2508, while USD/SEK rose 0.02% to 8.2286.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.29% at 95.35.
