Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Technology, Telecoms and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 lost 0.41%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA), which rose 2.10% or 2.7 points to trade at 131.0 at the close. Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE) added 1.20% or 1.90 points to end at 160.00 and Sandvik AB (ST:SAND) was up 1.09% or 0.90 points to 83.60 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIBs), which lost 2.10% or 3.7 points to trade at 172.8 in late trade. Nordea Bank AB (ST:NDA) declined 1.36% or 1.10 points to end at 79.80 and Telefonaktiebolaget L M Ericsson B (ST:ERICb) shed 1.33% or 0.84 points to 62.51.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 322 to 242 and 53 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was up 1.59% or 0.80 to $51.16 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 1.79% or 0.92 to hit $52.36 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 1.31% or 16.35 to trade at $1263.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.16% to 9.2461, while USD/SEK fell 0.19% to 8.1128.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.34% at 93.52.
