Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Financials, Technology and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 declined 1.64%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Essity AB B (ST:ESSITYb), which rose 1.07% or 2.50 points to trade at 236.70 at the close. Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b) added 0.12% or 0.12 points to end at 96.66 and Sandvik AB (ST:SAND) was down 0.06% or 0.10 points to 157.65 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb), which lost 18.34% or 3.08 points to trade at 13.70 in late trade. Nordea Bank AB (ST:NDA) declined 4.16% or 4.19 points to end at 96.56 and Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson Class B (ST:ERICb) shed 3.28% or 1.85 points to 54.63.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 444 to 173 and 41 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was up 0.72% or 0.47 to $66.08 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 0.58% or 0.41 to hit $70.94 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.27% or 3.70 to trade at $1360.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.24% to 9.8120, while USD/SEK fell 0.85% to 7.8591.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.52% at 88.56.
