Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Technology and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 fell 1.53%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Telia Company AB (ST:TELIA), which rose 0.10% or 0.04 points to trade at 42.05 at the close. AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN) added 0.08% or 0.6 points to end at 722.0 and Essity AB B (ST:ESSITYb) was down 0.13% or 0.30 points to 230.80 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Volvo, AB ser. B (ST:VOLVb), which lost 4.20% or 5.53 points to trade at 126.22 in late trade. Svenska Cellulosa SCA AB B (ST:SCAb) declined 4.18% or 3.2 points to end at 72.9 and Atlas Copco AB Class A (ST:ATCOa) shed 2.89% or 6.7 points to 223.2.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 441 to 188 and 47 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was down 0.15% or 0.08 to $52.87 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.37% or 0.23 to hit $61.92 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.26% or 3.20 to trade at $1242.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.11% to 10.2230, while USD/SEK rose 0.06% to 9.0193.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 96.953.
