Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Oil & Gas and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 declined 0.44%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Autoliv Inc . SDB (ST:ALIVsdb), which rose 7.43% or 81.0 points to trade at 1171.0 at the close. Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA) added 2.49% or 5.0 points to end at 205.8 and Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson Class B (ST:ERICb) was up 1.09% or 0.60 points to 55.58 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb), which lost 5.05% or 0.67 points to trade at 12.60 in late trade. Svenska Cellulosa SCA AB B (ST:SCAb) declined 3.28% or 2.8 points to end at 83.8 and Skanska AB ser. B (ST:SKAb) shed 1.27% or 2.05 points to 159.95.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 424 to 199 and 41 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was down 1.88% or 1.23 to $64.33 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 1.34% or 0.93 to hit $68.27 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.13% or 1.70 to trade at $1338.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.08% to 9.7808, while USD/SEK rose 0.01% to 7.8932.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.09% at 89.09.
