Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Industrials and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 declined 0.26%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Telia Company AB (ST:TELIA), which rose 1.37% or 0.50 points to trade at 37.03 at the close. Essity AB B (ST:ESSITYb) added 0.58% or 1.30 points to end at 226.30 and Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIb) was up 0.50% or 0.7 points to 141.7 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Svenska Cellulosa SCA AB B (ST:SCAb), which lost 3.27% or 2.2 points to trade at 65.2 in late trade. Atlas Copco AB ser. B (ST:ATCOb) declined 1.51% or 4.3 points to end at 279.9 and Sandvik AB (ST:SAND) shed 1.43% or 1.90 points to 130.90.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 444 to 288 and 70 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was down 3.34% or 1.60 to $46.27 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 1.31% or 0.68 to hit $51.30 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.02% or 13.25 to trade at $1311.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.34% to 9.5312, while USD/SEK fell 0.08% to 7.9599.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.29% at 92.20.
