Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Financials, Basic Materials and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 3.23%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb), which rose 5.26% or 4.20 points to trade at 84.10 at the close. Svenska Handelsbanken ser. A (ST:SHBa) added 4.81% or 4.8 points to end at 104.6 and Sandvik AB (ST:SAND) was up 4.26% or 3.40 points to 83.25 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Boliden AB (ST:BOL), which added 1.05% or 1.60 points to trade at 154.50 in late trade. Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE) added 1.07% or 1.60 points to end at 151.00 and Nokia Oyj (ST:NOKIA) gained 1.39% or 0.63 points to 46.06.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 440 to 131 and 51 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 2.72% or 1.32 to $49.88 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 2.68% or 1.32 to hit $50.49 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.50% or 6.45 to trade at $1288.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.76% to 9.3245, while USD/SEK fell 1.12% to 8.2367.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.65% at 93.69.
