Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Industrials and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 1.26%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which rose 13.09% or 2.55 points to trade at 22.03 at the close. Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb) added 2.71% or 2.20 points to end at 83.50 and Skanska AB ser. B (ST:SKAb) was up 2.51% or 4.40 points to 179.80 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nokia Oyj (ST:NOKIA), which lost 0.75% or 0.36 points to trade at 47.73 in late trade. Svenska Handelsbanken ser. A (ST:SHBa) declined 0.49% or 0.5 points to end at 101.3 and Nordea Bank AB (ST:NDA) gained 0.14% or 0.10 points to 71.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 423 to 172 and 41 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.23% or 0.11 to $48.44 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.24% or 0.12 to hit $49.83 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 1.34% or 17.75 to trade at $1338.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.03% to 9.3988, while USD/SEK fell 0.34% to 8.4288.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.34% at 95.62.
