Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Technology and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 0.67%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE), which rose 5.57% or 8.20 points to trade at 155.50 at the close. SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) added 5.02% or 1.20 points to end at 25.12 and Telefonaktiebolaget L M Ericsson B (ST:ERICb) was up 3.90% or 2.27 points to 60.52 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb), which lost 3.23% or 3.30 points to trade at 99.00 in late trade. AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN) declined 2.33% or 13.5 points to end at 566.5 and Svenska Cellulosa AB SCA ser. B (ST:SCAb) shed 0.86% or 2.2 points to 254.3.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 311 to 274 and 59 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 1.98% or 0.93 to $47.98 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 1.73% or 0.85 to hit $50.09 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.18% or 2.35 to trade at $1321.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.05% to 9.6047, while USD/SEK fell 0.31% to 8.5400.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.03% at 95.28.
