Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Technology, Basic Materials and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 0.29%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Svenska Cellulosa SCA AB B (ST:SCAb), which rose 2.94% or 7.8 points to trade at 272.8 at the close. Sandvik AB (ST:SAND) added 2.47% or 2.90 points to end at 120.10 and Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA) was up 2.32% or 3.8 points to 167.3 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Autoliv Inc . SDB (ST:ALIVsdb), which lost 7.73% or 78.0 points to trade at 931.0 in late trade. Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb) declined 7.44% or 3.98 points to end at 49.52 and AB SKF B (ST:SKFb) shed 3.51% or 6.3 points to 173.2.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 310 to 271 and 84 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to $53.88 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 0.25% or 0.14 to hit $56.94 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.94% or 11.35 to trade at $1219.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.08% to 9.4174, while USD/SEK fell 0.34% to 8.7213.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.16% at 99.53.
