Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Healthcare and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 0.11%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Nokia Oyj (ST:NOKIA), which rose 2.65% or 1.02 points to trade at 39.45 at the close. SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) added 1.92% or 0.70 points to end at 37.25 and Boliden AB (ST:BOL) was up 1.62% or 3.90 points to 244.10 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb), which lost 1.51% or 1.30 points to trade at 85.05 in late trade. ASSA ABLOY AB ser. B (ST:ASSAb) declined 1.19% or 2.0 points to end at 166.7 and ABB Ltd (ST:ABB) shed 0.52% or 1.0 points to 189.9.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 331 to 279 and 59 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was down 0.13% or 0.06 to $47.88 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 0.25% or 0.12 to hit $48.83 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.29% or 3.50 to trade at $1184.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.29% to 9.7635, while USD/SEK fell 0.39% to 9.2440.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.01% at 101.72.
