Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Technology, Financials and Telecoms sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 2.62%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson Class B (ST:ERICb), which rose 4.27% or 2.14 points to trade at 52.28 at the close. Kinnevik, Investment AB ser. B (ST:KINVb) added 4.18% or 11.6 points to end at 288.8 and Swedbank AB ser A (ST:SWEDa) was up 3.75% or 7.3 points to 202.1 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb), which lost 0.30% or 0.03 points to trade at 11.26 in late trade. ASSA ABLOY AB ser. B (ST:ASSAb) added 0.34% or 0.6 points to end at 176.0 and Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb) gained 0.38% or 1.0 points to 263.8.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 551 to 81 and 35 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was down 2.56% or 1.62 to $61.77 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 1.82% or 1.22 to hit $65.64 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.71% or 9.40 to trade at $1320.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.34% to 9.8750, while USD/SEK rose 1.15% to 8.0438.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.68% at 90.13.
