Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Industrials and Telecoms sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 0.89% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA), which rose 5.66% or 25.2 points to trade at 470.2 at the close. Essity AB B (ST:ESSITYb) added 3.75% or 8.10 points to end at 224.10 and ABB Ltd (ST:ABB) was up 3.49% or 6.8 points to 201.6 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIb), which lost 1.66% or 1.5 points to trade at 91.5 in late trade. ASSA ABLOY AB ser. B (ST:ASSAb) declined 1.03% or 1.8 points to end at 173.2 and Boliden AB (ST:BOL) shed 0.93% or 2.55 points to 272.65.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 317 to 304 and 57 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.35% or 0.24 to $67.99 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 0.29% or 0.21 to hit $72.69 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.93% or 11.40 to trade at $1216.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.58% to 10.3773, while USD/SEK rose 0.87% to 8.9422.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.44% at 95.26.
