Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Healthcare, Consumer Goods and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 0.47%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Sandvik AB (ST:SAND), which rose 3.05% or 4.65 points to trade at 156.95 at the close. Autoliv Inc . SDB (ST:ALIVsdb) added 1.23% or 17.0 points to end at 1395.5 and Essity AB B (ST:ESSITYb) was up 1.12% or 2.40 points to 217.50 in late trade.
Biggest losers included SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which lost 0.95% or 0.43 points to trade at 45.01 in late trade. Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb) declined 0.53% or 0.04 points to end at 7.20 and Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIb) shed 0.49% or 0.4 points to 81.8.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 338 to 269 and 67 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 2.13% or 1.38 to $66.28 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.41% or 0.31 to hit $75.39 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.17% or 2.20 to trade at $1276.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.25% to 10.2832, while USD/SEK fell 0.26% to 8.8696.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 94.63.
