Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Telecoms, Financials and Healthcare sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 0.36% to hit a new 6-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were ASSA ABLOY AB ser. B (ST:ASSAb), which rose 1.37% or 2.5 points to trade at 185.3 at the close. Svenska Cellulosa SCA AB B (ST:SCAb) added 1.20% or 1.2 points to end at 105.6 and Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA) was up 1.15% or 2.8 points to 246.6 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Boliden AB (ST:BOL), which lost 1.58% or 4.15 points to trade at 258.70 in late trade. Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIb) declined 1.14% or 1.2 points to end at 108.6 and Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb) shed 0.97% or 2.0 points to 204.6.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 357 to 265 and 65 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was up 1.17% or 0.80 to $69.33 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.97% or 0.74 to hit $77.03 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.26% or 3.20 to trade at $1211.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.19% to 10.7072, while USD/SEK rose 0.17% to 9.1534.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.05% at 94.58.
