Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Telecoms, Financials and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 0.26% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Nordea Bank AB (ST:NDA), which rose 1.18% or 1.14 points to trade at 97.84 at the close. Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA) added 1.15% or 4.2 points to end at 368.5 and Svenska Cellulosa SCA AB B (ST:SCAb) was up 0.79% or 0.7 points to 86.5 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIb), which lost 3.52% or 3.9 points to trade at 107.0 in late trade. Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson Class B (ST:ERICb) declined 1.32% or 0.75 points to end at 56.19 and Sandvik AB (ST:SAND) shed 0.40% or 0.60 points to 149.95.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 338 to 263 and 62 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was down 1.55% or 0.96 to $61.08 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 1.22% or 0.80 to hit $64.69 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.37% or 4.90 to trade at $1319.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.17% to 10.1608, while USD/SEK rose 0.01% to 8.2431.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.17% at 89.96.
