Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Consumer Services and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 0.12%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb), which rose 2.52% or 0.58 points to trade at 23.62 at the close. Boliden AB (ST:BOL) added 2.31% or 6.50 points to end at 287.40 and Autoliv Inc . SDB (ST:ALIVsdb) was up 1.39% or 14.0 points to 1021.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b), which lost 1.58% or 1.50 points to trade at 93.35 in late trade. Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson Class B (ST:ERICb) declined 1.03% or 0.47 points to end at 45.28 and Essity AB B (ST:ESSITYb) shed 0.96% or 2.20 points to 228.10.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 416 to 321 and 81 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.04% or 0.02 to $50.44 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.07% or 0.04 to hit $55.96 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.15% or 1.97 to trade at $1275.93 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.31% to 9.5255, while USD/SEK fell 0.45% to 8.0993.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.12% at 93.31.
