SRJ Technologies Group PLC (ASX:SRJ) has received a purchase order valued at A$164,000 from Trident BMC LLC for its flange bolt integrity equipment, BoltEx®.
BoltEx® ensures flange integrity during the bolt replacement under pressure, also known as 'hot bolting'. It is proven to perform at 1.5 times the design pressure even with all flange bolts removed.
This initial order comes with the expectation that further orders will follow.
Trident helps operators mitigate the safety and environmental challenges surrounding the integrity of flanged connections in piping systems.
Based in Washington, USA, Trident works with more than 1,300 maritime professionals across 19 countries and provides engineered solutions in marine interiors, distributed ship systems, electromechanical solutions, and automation and control.
The company serves shipbuilders and owners in the cruise, military, offshore oil and gas, and commercial ship markets.
Facilitating workplace safety
SRJ’s range of products is designed to maintain and assure the integrity of pressure containment systems and therefore play an important role in the overall integrity and safety of operating facilities.
SRJ director Roger Smith said: “The sensitivity to emissions control and workplace safety is driving increased investment by facility operators to detect and control such emissions.
"The degradation of flange connections in piping systems is a major cause of fugitive emissions. SRJ’s BoltEx® Hot Bolting Tool enables flange bolts to be removed and replaced safely without interrupting production or depressurising pipework systems.
“SRJ is experiencing strong demand for the purchase and rental of its range of BoltEx® flange clamps to restore the integrity of flange connections.
"We look forward to supporting Trident who will be utilising BoltEx® to provide an effective hot bolting solution to a global FPSO operator.”
