Investing.com – Sri Lanka stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Power & Energy, Trading and Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share lost 0.11%.
The best performers of the session on the CSE All-Share were PC House PLC (CM:PCHO), which rose 50.00% or 0.100 points to trade at 0.300 at the close. Meanwhile, Kalamazoo Systems PLC (CM:KZOO) added 13.40% or 200.60 points to end at 1697.90 and Central Investments and Finance PLC (CM:CIFL) was up 12.50% or 0.100 points to 0.900 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Udapussellawa Plantations PLC (CM:UDPL), which fell 13.71% or 4.10 points to trade at 25.80 at the close. PC Pharma PLC (CM:PCPH) declined 10.00% or 0.10 points to end at 0.90 and Asia Siyaka Commodities Ltd (CM:ASIA) was down 8.57% or 0.30 points to 3.20.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Colombo Stock Exchange by 117 to 102 and 21 ended unchanged.
Shares in Udapussellawa Plantations PLC (CM:UDPL) fell to 52-week lows; down 13.71% or 4.10 to 25.80. Shares in Kalamazoo Systems PLC (CM:KZOO) rose to 52-week highs; up 13.40% or 200.60 to 1697.90. Shares in PC Pharma PLC (CM:PCPH) fell to 52-week lows; falling 10.00% or 0.10 to 0.90.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 1.67% or 0.82 to $48.38 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 2.00% or 1.08 to hit $53.06 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.89% or 10.10 to trade at $1142.60 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was down 0.50% to 206.380, while USD/LKR fell 0.15% to 134.350.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.38% at 95.60.
